Real play: walking round Doodle Square to meet Dood

Doodle World: ten places to explore

Doodle World is where your child plays once you’ve joined.

They make a doodle of themselves, fly the Doodle Bus over the map and drop into any of ten places. Each has its own people, its own big game and an easel where they can colour a piece of the place itself. It runs in the web browser on a tablet, phone or computer.

16 themes, from dinosaurs and mermaids to robots and farm animals, each at three levels: Beginner for ages 2 to 4, Medium for 4 to 7 and Hard for 7 and up.

Colour with a crayon, or a paint pot that fills a whole shape in one tap, with a rubber and Undo when it goes wrong. Print any page to colour by hand. Each child gets their own gallery of finished pictures.

Stories, stickers and a passport

Short story videos about the friends in Doodle World, with captions on, and a read-along for each one: a picture book where the words light up as they’re read.

Tilly Wick the mouse hands over a Doodle Passport. Each place gets a stamp on the first visit, and every sticker is shown before it’s found, so there’s always something to look for.

Celebrations, and something new each week

  • New this week

Fresh pages picked out every week, with new stories as they’re made.

  • 10 seasons and celebrations

Spring, summer, autumn and First Snow, plus Lantern Night, Diwali, Bonfire Night, Christmas, the Christmas Big Doodle Day and New Year, with more through the year. Grown-ups choose which ones show.

  • The Lighthouse Crayons

A story told across the winter: ten crayons to bring home to Dood’s lighthouse, one place at a time.

For up to four children, and safe

One membership for the family. No adverts, no chat, nothing public.

  • Up to four children

Each child has a first name, a colour and their own gallery of finished pictures. Nothing else about them is asked for.

  • No adverts, no chat, no other players

Nothing your child makes is shared with anyone, and every character is our own.

  • It stays on your device

Doodle World keeps their doodle, stickers, stamps and stars on the device they play on. None of it is sent to us.

  • A grown-ups’ corner with your own PIN

Daily play time and quiet hours, switches for fewer moving things and softer colours, and a choice of which places, games and celebrations are on.

  • Children never see a price

Anything to buy sits behind the grown-ups’ PIN.

  • A gentle goodnight

When play time is up, Dood waits for the end of the round, has a big yawn and says night night. Only a grown-up can give more time.

The app: in development

An app for iPad and iPhone is on its way. Doodle Club is one membership for the website and the app. When the app arrives, sign in with the same account and your membership comes with you. In the app, you’ll also be able to join through Apple.

How does the free week work?

New members get the first 7 days free. Cancel before then from Your account and you won’t pay anything.

Can we cancel?

Yes, any time, from Your account. Everything stays open until the end of the month or year you’ve paid for.

What do we need to play?

A web browser on a tablet, phone or computer. One membership covers up to four children.

Or buy a book, once

The other thing you can buy is a personalised colouring book, paid for once, with their name on the cover and the things they love inside. Free preview before you pay.
