Doodle World

A colouring-book world for children aged 2 to 10, where every place is waiting to be coloured in.

Your child makes a doodle of themselves, flies the Doodle Bus over the map and drops into any of ten places. They walk around, say hello to the people who live there, play games, collect stickers and colour things in. It runs in the web browser on a tablet, phone or computer.

The Doodle World map: Doodle Square and its crayon lighthouse in the middle, with paths out to Bedtime Street, Moonbeam Heights, Footprint Valley, Flutterby Glen, Bubble Lagoon, Spyglass Cove, Tangletop Jungle, Muddlecombe Farm and Rattle Junction
The map. Every screen on this page is a real one from Doodle World.

Stories, stickers and a passport

Short story videos about the friends in Doodle World, with captions on. One story never runs straight into the next.

Every story has a read-along too: a picture book where the words light up as they’re read, for little ones to follow and early readers to try.

In Doodle Square, Tilly Wick the mouse hands over a Doodle Passport. Each place gets a stamp on the first visit, and every sticker is shown before it’s found, so there’s always something to look for.

My Doodle Passport: a stamp for Doodle Square, empty circles for the other places, and the stickers to find in Doodle Square

It keeps growing

Doodle World changes with the year, so there’s something new to find.

  • New this week

Fresh pages picked out every week, with new stories as they’re made.

  • 13 seasons and celebrations

Spring, summer, autumn and First Snow, plus Lantern Night, Diwali, Hanukkah, Christmas, Lunar New Year, Eid al-Fitr, Holi, Easter and Eid al-Adha. Grown-ups choose which ones show.

  • The Lighthouse Crayons

A story told across the winter: ten crayons to bring home to Dood’s lighthouse, one place at a time.

For grown-ups

Calm, safe, and you hold the keys.

  • No adverts, no chat, no other players

Nothing your child makes is shared with anyone, and every character is our own.

  • It stays on your device

Doodle World keeps their doodle, stickers, stamps and stars on the device they play on. None of it is sent to us, and there are no names, photos or free text in it.

  • A grown-ups’ corner with your own PIN

Daily play time and quiet hours, switches for fewer moving things and softer colours, and a choice of which places, games and celebrations are on.

  • Children never see a price

Anything to buy sits behind the grown-ups’ PIN.

  • A gentle goodnight

When play time is up, Dood waits for the end of the round, has a big yawn and says night night. Only a grown-up can give more time.

The app: in development

An app for iPad and iPhone is on its way. Doodle Club is one membership for the website and the app. When the app arrives, sign in with the same account and your membership comes with you. In the app, you’ll also be able to join through Apple.

  • Doodle World comes with it, and games keep working without the internet once they’re downloaded
  • Colour with an Apple Pencil or a finger
  • The stories and read-alongs
  • Stickers to put on finished pictures
  • A grown-ups’ corner behind a PIN, with Face ID or Touch ID if you switch it on
